Hot Tomorrows

A young man, transplanted from the Bronx to L.A., is trying to make it as a writer. He is obsessed with two things: death and Laurel and Hardy. A childhood friend comes for a visit and the two of them spend Christmas Eve exploring the seedier side of Hollywood. The friend is killed in a car accident, and the writer wanders into a nursing home, where the film ends in a Busby Berkeley-style extravaganza in which the dead and the living are reunited. The cast features Ray Sharkey and Herve Villechaize.
