We meet Bella and Edward again just as they're about to get hitched. Said ceremony is as extravagant as you'd expect from a group of rich vegetarian vampires, and their honeymoon on a remote island equally so. Naturally, young Jacob isn't happy that Bella is shacking up with Edward, and that the two will have to consummate their vows. When said consummation happens, young Bella gets knocked up - but what grows inside her remains a mystery. Once again, the Cullens must protect her as the wolf pack decide that said offspring is a threat and must not live past infancy. Messed up, right? You don't know the half of it.
The first two Twilight flicks are a decent enough watch, and it's easy to see how it has attracted its vast army of fans. With the third film, Eclipse, there was a vast improvement; all of a sudden the franchise became self-aware and atmospheric. Breaking Dawn, however, takes a considerable amount of steps back. It doesn't help that very little happens, or that what does happen is so out-there that it simply becomes nonsensical.
While Harry Potter is hardly a benchmark in terms of quality, tonally the series worked because towards the end they stuck with the same director. One of the reasons Twilight is all over the place is because they change the helmer with every film. Fundamentally, it comes down to the story thread falling apart four films into the series, and the filmmakers trying to pad it out with the type of fantastical heightened dramatics that they hope will distract the core fanbase. Someone who knows the series may have provided a steadier hand.
Pattinson is now firmly the best thing about the franchise. As hard as it may be for some to believe, the young Brit has presence and manages to fill the shortcomings of his character with a quiet intensity. Lautner, though, is hamstrung by one of the worst characters in modern blockbuster memory. There may have been more to him in the books, but cinematically he's nothing more than a moody teenager who spends the majority of his time storming out of houses and whipping his top off. Stewart has been consistent throughout, but previously has never really been required to do anything more than awkwardly mope; at least here she gets to embrace the peril.
Fans will love Breaking Dawn no matter what - that goes without saying. But there's no escaping the fact that this is mediocre filmmaking encumbering an already silly story.

I really cant wait. I dont really like new moon though. SM said if she does another book, she might do a chapter in Leahs POV. Hopefully she could break Jacob & Renesmees imprint, I think Jake & Leah belong together xx

This twilight will be the film of the millennium I've read the book and is absolutely fonomenal! From chapter to chapter I was on the edge of my seat it's unputdownable I have all the DVDs so if your on this website your obviously looking for something to see so shut off your computer get your ass off the seat and go to the next screening near you of the fantastic entertaining amazing exciting twilight breaking Dawn part1 and get there fast or all the tickets will be gone!!!!!

This is one of the worst most laughable movies of the year. It is so bad that the only people that will like it are teenage girls or girls who like the over rated Pattison and the brutal actor that is Lautner. Cynical to break the last book in the series into 2 movies as it could have been done in one 2 1/2 hour effort. Again, i can reiterate how s**te this is, some of the scenes are so unintentionally funny its unreal. Never again will i take a kid to dung like this unless its Happy Feet. Avoid like the plague.

The most idiotic, brainless movie of the year, made by the morons for the morons. Absolute luck of script or intelligent conversation through the whole movie. People get to those kind of movie by trusting description of the movie without realizing that it is made to suck in to the movie. It was 2 hours of mental torture to any human even with limited brain capacity. Damn you guys for wasting all excellent technology of present movie making on this garbage.

I'm not in the target audience for this film (30-something male and not a Twi-Hard), but like Harry Potter, Twilight is difficult to ignore. It's had a significant impact on the film-making landscape over the last 3 years. It's drawing to a close now... thankfully. However, what started out as a sweet coming-of-age story has mutated into a rather grotesque love/hate story. Breaking Dawn Part 1 deals with quite adult themes, but has been toned down for children. Hence the constant fade-outs during the love scenes. The love triangle of Bella, Edward and Jacob still doesn't make any sense to me. If Bella had a brain, she'd ditch both of them and find herself a nice, good, old-fashioned human boy. What's wrong with that? Anyway, this saga will make the studio and the talent involved healthy and wealthy but leave the audience none the wiser. Seriously, if anyone thinks that Twilight is the greatest series of films ever made then they need to get their head checked...

went to see this with my girlfriend with the promise off fellatio, unbeknownst to me said fellatio was promised for an unscheduled time after this homosexual 12 year old boys fantasy porno flick, so 10 minutes into this gay cosplay i asked my significant other "whats the story on this mouth release?" she responds "no after this". I up and left this trifling c**tsack and upon departure i turn around show all the twi-f**s my c**k and bawlls and shout "here's somethin edward aint got motherf**ker" and was escorted out by security.

Wow, It amazing how such a "s**te" movie can produce such emotion.. If you don't like fantasy don't go and see these movies. It was never ment to be an intellectual movie and is for teenagers to enjoy..... so get off your high horse and enjoy it for what it is ...a teen movie!!!!!!
