Protégé
Starring: Daniel Wu
Details: Hong Kong / 106mins (18).
Nick (Wu) is a narcotics agent who has been deep undercover for a number of years, acting as protege to the head of a massive cartel, Banker (Lau). While amassing evidence against Banker, Nick succumbs to the underworld and all the glitz that goes with it. Getting involved with a drug-addicted single mother isn't exactly smart either. Can Nick reclaim the man he once was and put the gang behind bars? This Hong Kong thriller directed by One Night In Mongkok promises to be a favourite among David Ayer fans.
