Saw this today at an IFI member's preview. As is often the case with James Marsh's films, I found it to be provocative and fascinating. What struck me the most though is how little anyone seemed to care for Nim himself. I felt more sympathetic to Nim than his various human owners, who came across as self-absorbed and deeply irresponsible. It will make Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes all the more richer. Let the rising begin!
