Bacon plays Nick Hume, a reserved and quiet executive with nothing much going on in his life except his devotion to his family. Tragedy strikes, however, when they are attacked as part of a gang initiation rite, and Hume, whose grief turns him into a soulless avenger, reaps justice on those involved with the help of sympathetic detective Wallis (Taylor). Adapted from Brian Garfield's novel, whose Death Wish and subsequent sequels allowed Charles Bronson stay on the shelf long after his sell-by date, Death Sentence promises to be a down and dirty, grim outing from Wan, who's used to that kind of thing.
