** Preview ** Diane Keaton plays the widowed Daphne Wilder, a meddling mother who takes it upon herself to marry off her shy, insecure youngest Milly (Moore) before it's too late. Entering her details in the personal ads, Daphne, after enduring the embarrassing spectacle that is speed dating, settles on the rich architect Jason (Scott). However, Milly can't make her mind up about Jason and has a dalliance with the scruffy, tattooed musician Johnny (Macht). Daphne can't understand her daughter falling for a good-looking rebel who plays by his own rules and her relationship with Milly hits a rocky patch. If it looks like a sitcom and sounds like a sitcom, then it must be a sitcom. The idea is so old it feels like you've seen this movie before you've even bought the ticket. From the director of Hudson Hawk, 40 Days And 40 Nights and My Giant, Michael Lehmann is surprisingly still around despite being responsible for several numerous stinkers in quick succession and his latest looks like another poor attempt by Hollywood to release anything in the run up to Valentine's Day.
