Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ties in directly with the plot of the second movie. The Decepticon's leader Megatron is dead while the Autobot's leader Optimus Prime is head of an organisation consisting of humans and good transformers known as NEST. Cue giant robots fighting for control of the planet.

Some of the cast from the recent films voice the Transformers in this game, and hearing Peter Cullen issue orders, as Optimus Prime, really adds to the atmosphere.

The game feels a lot like Grand Theft Auto except with robots. It's good fun driving through the street only to immediately transform into a giant robot and climb up a sky-scrapper. However, the cities depicted in the Transfomers game don't look as good as Liberty City or feel as real.

A lot of Transformers feels like it's been rushed so that the game could be released in tandem with the movie. The missions briefings, in-game menus and stats screens look rough and are hard to follow. Even the controls are difficult to master and I spent a lot of time crashing into walls and inadvertently transfoming.

The multiplayer is standard stuff, capture the flag, team death-match and so on, but it will appeal to anyone who liked to battle their mate's toys, as a kid. If you like Transformers and the two recent movies you'll get a few hours entertainment out this release. If you don't there's nothing really enjoyable here.
