Career driven image consultant Russ Duritz (Willis) meets himself as an eight-year-old boy (Breslin), who proceeds to teach him a few lessons about life, as well as learning some himself. It may be eminently silly stuff, but The Kid is not quite as schmaltzy as it sounds, and there are some genuinely funny moments.
