** Preview ** Charming Liverpudlian rascal Sam (Evans) doesn't need to be asked twice when offered a chance to move to London, even if it means dragging along his mother Jill (Lesley Manville). While blagging a job as a writer, Sam meets and schmoozes PR executive Sheila (Channing) and, after bedding her, lands a job as her assistant. However, the cad falls for Kate (Amanda Ryan) who just happens to be Sheila's daughter. Meanwhile, Jill suffers non-too subtle come-ons from her landlord Vince (Hoskins), who promises to help her follow her dream of becoming a singer. Although it might smack of The Graduate, this British rom-com from the writing/directing team of Hunsinger and Hunter (The Lawless Heart), who have a knack of making their characters ring true, promises to be a surprise hit.
