A week in the life of an Irish-Italian family, during which Frank (McDonald) attempts to pay off the debt of his father (Cox) to loanshark Gleeson by robbing the bookies Gleeson owns. Strong characters and an interesting story are spoiled by an ending that leaves far too many loose threads.
