Former geek Barrymore plays an undercover journalist in high school and discovers the joy of being popular. Unfortunately, Barrymore's character is twenty-five and Barrymore looks every minute of it. If you want to revisit the '80s glory of the John Hughes teen flicks era, rent 'Better Off Dead' instead.
