Shannon (Driver) and Frances (McCormack) are a couple of fun loving, thirty-something girls, who inadvertently overhear the details of a major heist after a night on the tiles. Deciding that they could do with a piece of the action, the girls try and blackmail the robbers into handing over some of the proceeds from the job. Yet it becomes hideously apparent that Shannon and Frances are completely out of their depth when the vicious leader of the gang, Mason (McNally), tries to have them killed. Competent performances from McCormack, Driver and most of the supporting players simply isn't enough to save High Heel and Low Lifes. Its heart might in the right place, but the poorly written and utterly unrealistic script lets the enthusiastic and likeable cast down badly - the result is a chick flick with little real bite. A wasted opportunity.
