It was once argued that "Starring Sylvester Stallone" were the three scariest words in the English language. However, a movie not only starring, but written and produced by the erstwhile Rambo can only be described as an unspeakable horror, and that's exactly what Driven is. Sly plays a washed up racing car called Joe Tanto. His old boss Carl Henry (Burt Reynolds) decides that his new protégé Jimmy Bly (Kip Pardue) could benefit from some first hand experience, so Joe is brought in to sort out the young buck's private and professional life. Without any basis in reality, and hideously underwritten, Driven is a shambles of a movie. All of the actors do themselves terrible disservices by appearing in this claptrap and director Harlin seems more interested in car crashes than any character or plot development. Think Rocky meets Rambo on the racetrack. Yup, that bad.
