Coach Carter

Newly appointed basketball coach Carter (Jackson) benches his successful high school team as a reaction to their collective bad attitude, including poor grades in class. A stirring, unusual sports movie, this is a little too slick and glossy to convince, with a 'winning isn't everything' message that sounds good but fails to translate to a realistic proposition.
