Black Christmas has a group of eight sorority sisters holed up in a house over the Christmas break, who are plagued by mysterious and increasingly disturbing phone calls in the middle of the night. Soon, they realise there's a killer on the loose and the girls get offed one by one. For those of you who think that the synopsis is a little short, that's honestly all there is, but you might be able to find out more on the movie's website: www.thismovieiscrap.com. It takes millions to make a movie these days and it just makes me sick to my stomach that all that time, money and effort went into making this nonsense. It just makes you wonder about all those scripts that are stamped 'pass' by the production company because money was pumped into this. The cast should be ashamed of themselves for (A) starring in this muck and (B) acting the way they did, as charmless, robotic and lifeless performances abound. Written and directed by Final Destination's Glen Morgan, who, judging by this outing, really hates movies and wants to stop people going to the cinema on a Saturday night, Black Christmas is a new low for slasher flicks. Maybe it's an inside job on Morgan's part - topple the industry by making bad movie after bad movie.
