Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. There won't be a third prequel/sequel for this embarassed punter... Top drawer effects and visuals, and attractive main actors - but another sterile remake with almost nothing to say. There's little that's creative about it. Still loaded down with the 70s take on 'future' tech (guys pressing buttons and the like) which by now feels as unrealistic as 50s sci fi did back then. It's not quite as heavy handed as the last, but there's no end of cliched and not very subtle recycling of imagery and hooks from the original in this one too. It seems the weight of original is too much - it's probably time to kill this dinosaur off. Guaranteed audiences however mean there's not much hope of that, nor of any risk taking...
It's really good.
I felt it had a shaky beginning but after that I really enjoyed this film.
How did this RUBBISH get a better review than passengers I could not keep my eyes open
