i did a poop on the floor :)
that will be brilliant
Can't wait, Awsome!
Its back? Already? I'll have to make a bet with someone there to keep my eyes on the screen
Will be hard to top the original.
As someone who has never seen the original (and frankly, I don't want to. It looks too before my time) I LOVED this film - for what it is. This is a really great horror movie with no cheap thrills. It is very reminiscent of The Excorcist as times and clearly Eli Roths Cabin Fever was a rip-off of the original. Jane Levy is amazing in it as much as she is terrifying (the cellar scenes are fantastic). I loved that the possession was so... realistic (i.e. vomiting the second the demon possesses her, frothing from the mouth when the demon presents itself etc) and I loved that she is "coming down" from cocaine, so its as if the possession is just symptoms. My only FLAWS are that: (a) The trailer gave too much away (all bar the last scenes). (b) It is a little rushed at times, but maybe Im just used to horror films having so much filler, this has no filler, its blood and gore from the get-go. If you like horror, you'll LOVE this. If not, avoid it like the plague, literally.
DoubleLetter - you really should see The Evil Dead. It's one of the classic horror films, right up there with The Shining, The Exorcist and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. As a fan of the original myself, I thought the remake was respectful and certainly filled the blood and gore quotient... but it's not a patch on the original. It tries too hard at times and made me long for Ash and his chainsaw...
By the way, if The Evil Dead is "before your time" then The Exorcist is even further back...
Another remake...but this one is worth your time and cash. Violent, bloody and not played for laughs, it's an intense 90 minutes not for the squeamish. It will be interesting to see what the director's next project will be as he shows a lot of talent with this film. Highly recommended for horror fans.
@Bartel The director confirmed his next project is Evil Dead 2. @FilmBuff76 Maybe Ill check it out online. I loved The Exorcist but that wasn't a film marked by its time, like The Shining it's still scary to watch today, by the looks of it Evil Dead looks rather cheap and I always heard it was a comedy and if I got by Raimis most recent comedy/horror (Drag Me To Hell) I wasn't exactly excited to watch The Evil Dead, ha
The Evil Dead - emphasis on "The" - is a genuine classic and is remarkable for a film made on a budget of just $350,000. Sure, the stop-motion effects have aged a bit and it's got a crazy sense of humour... but it's absolutely brilliant. It's certainly got a lot more personality than the new Evil Dead - which is a pale imitation at best.
if you like watching a brain dead film with awful acting and not much plot then you will love this ,otherwise avoid !!!
Ash? So you like braindead films then?
