There is nothing more pleasurable and satisfying to us than a King Crisps sandwich on batch bread and a warm cup of tea.

Any problem in the world can be fixed by a cup of tea and a decent sandwich.

After seeing the success of that Cereal Cafe over in England, the folks at the Ulster Fry decided to give it a shot.

But how did it come about, you might ask?

No joke, it actually started on their website. The Ulster Fry, an Onion-esque news website, published a story claiming that Belfast was about to open its own crisp sandwich cafe.

This, naturally, gathered huge praise and excitement from the people in Norn Iron. Such was the demand, the website decided to give it a go and see what happens.

A cafe shop owner in Belfast contacted Ulster Fry and decided to turn it into Simply Crispy.

As yet, the menu hasn't been published but we'd imagine the sturdy, reliable Cheese & Onion Crisp Sandwich is on the menu.

And yes, they'll give you a crust sandwich for no extra fee.

Ulster Fry / Simply Crispy, if you're reading this, please consider opening one in Dublin.

The South needs a decent crisp sandwich shop.
