The amazing transformation of Miley, a stray dog who was found in a rubbish dump in Los Angeles, makes for a pretty powerful video.

The video comes from Eldad Hagar, of the Hope for Paws charity, who found her on top of a pile of rubbish. She was clearly exhausted, malnourished and suffering from mange, and it was a grueling process even just to get her to leave the place that she had chosen to hide out.

He managed to give her some food and water, and got her in to his car before taking her back to HQ, where the recovery began. After spending the first three days at the shelter asleep, Miley began to get better, and even made a connection with another dog named Frankie, who had also been rescued. Eventually, Miley found a new home, and after spending six months with her new owners, the transformation has been pretty breathtaking.

Miley looks pretty happy with her new digs, which even has a pool, so she's come a long way from the trash pile where she was first found.
