The feel-good story of Batkid, aka a young leukemia patient named Miles Scott, touched thousands of people around the world, and this new documentary is going to help make his story go even further.

Miles battled the disease and, after his treatment was finished, the people of San Francisco went above and beyond to make his dream of becoming the real Batman for a day come true.

Over 25,000 people volunteered, got involved in general capers and were on hand to help the Make A Wish foundation give Miles a little taste of what it would be like to be Batman, and the story duly went viral, with millions around the world tweeting, Facebooking and sharing the story whatever way they could. This documentary, entitled Batkid Begins: The Wish Heard around the World, which comes out on June 26th, takes a look at Miles' battle, and what it took to get everything in place for a story that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye.

Hollywood is already eyeing up the story too, and apparently Julia Roberts is going to star in and produce a feature based on this documentary, according to Variety
