According to the below local news report, some Irish students in San Francisco on a J1 student visa apparently trashed the rented accommodation they were staying in and legged it from the country.
While the understandably pissed off landlady goes a bit far calling it an "act of terrorism," she has every right to be annoyed. This is just making it more difficult for Irish and other students who go abroad to find affordable places to stay.
