Ireland isn't the only country where the topic of marriage equality is being raised, as it is currently being debated in the Supreme Court of the United States.

A new ad from LGBT advocacy group PFLAG Canada tackles this topic in a way that translated across borders with their ad entitled "Nobody's Memories", which imagines the weddings, relationships and happy moments that never were as a result of the fact that marriage equality does not yet exist.

Many of the clips are shot in a highly-stylised way to make it appear as though they're home movies, while the voice over explains that these are memories that aren't found in photo albums or in anyone's heart, because these are nobody's memories.

It's a short message, but a touching and effective one.
