This is pretty shocking, in fairness.

Kaloyan Pechevski was filling up his car at a petrol station in Illinois. Just as he'd lifted up the pump nozzle from the holster, he noticed something.

Take a look.

According to Kaloyan, this was a common scam in his native Bulgaria. As you can see in the video, the meter was slowly ticking up without the nozzle even pumping out fuel.

The petrol attendant explained to Kaloyan that the nozzle sometimes comes loose, hence the discrepancy between what was going in and what was being metered.

We don't know about you, but we're definitely going to be checking this the next time we're getting fuel.
