This terrifying footage shows the aftermath of a tornado in Arkansas that has claimed the lives of what officials are saying is at least 17 people.

Police in Arkansas are reporting that the central part of the town of Vilonia is "completely levelled," while Mayflower just north of state capital Little Rock was also rocked by multiple tornadoes. 

The full devastation won't really be known until this morning until the sun rises in the American state. There is a weather warning in effect for for the next few days.
