Like really pissed. And we understand why to be honest.
Twitter dropped the bombshell and made the change along with the below announcement without warning this afternoon.
You can say a lot with a heart. Introducing a new way to show how you feel on Twitter: https://t.co/WKBEmORXNW pic.twitter.com/G4ZGe0rDTP
— Twitter (@twitter) November 3, 2015
Twitter's logic is that they want to "make Twitter easier and more rewarding to use, and we know that at times the star could be confusing, especially to newcomers".
They also said "The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people. And in our tests, we found that people loved it."
Since then, the reaction has been one of disagreement. A lot.
Twitter: “The star could be confusing, especially to newcomers.â€Â? WELL DONE NEWBIES

If Twitter is going to use â?¤ï¸? for likes then obviously they should add ðŸ'” for dislikes. I would waste so much of my life disliking tweets
