Sometimes, you need to let off a little bit of steam without smashing stuff up or committing some sort of rage-induced crime. That's where pillow fights come in, and someone is organising a giant one in Dublin soon.

The event had over 6,000 people signed up to go just 24 hours after it first went live on Facebook, and was described as a "flashmob" event, inviting people to just show up with a pillow and have the craic.

Unfortunately, the page where the event was being hosted has been taken down, but an incredibly similar event is headed to Belfast and for the moment, their page seems to still be active, so there's a chance that there will be more events around the country, giving everyone a chance to have a bit of pillow-based shenannigans.

The one in Belfast is currently scheduled in for August 1st, while Dublin's event was a little bit further away with September 26th penciled in, but now with the Facebook page down we don't know what to believe. Who can we trust? What's real and what's not? WHO ARE WE?

Anyway, there have been a few complaints already (this is the internet), as one person noted that "I just don't think it's fair to the park ruining it's [sic] beauty through littering nor to the person who is inevitably going to have to clean it up", while another user suggested on the Belfast event that people in fact bring two pillows and donate one to a homeless charity afterwards, so that there would be at least a "good deed" element involved.

Whatever the case, we are desperately awaiting an update where we find out if this is still going ahead. If anyone has any information, get in touch ASAP, or else you are a sap.
