Police in Newcastle, England have launched an investigation to find out how prescription drugs ended up on the production line where they make Jelly Tots.

While Jelly Tots can be pretty addictive, it seems that they have decided to stop short of putting actual drugs in them after a batch of prescription pills were found on the production line in the factory in the north-east of England.

According to Newstalk, the discovery was made before the drugs ended up coming in to contact with any of the sweets, but that police and Nestle, the company who make the treats, are still taking it extremely seriously.

A spokesperson for Nestle said: "We can confirm that due to our rigorous quality procedures and immediate action, the incident was isolated and contained within our control", so you needn't worry about loading up on jellies this weekend.Â
