A statue portraying Jesus as a homeless person has been installed in Dublin and is set to be unveiled later today.

The work has been given anonymously to the city, and is one of 10 that are around the world, including Vatican City and Buffalo, New York. Similar to the work in Buffalo, Dublin's statue will be placed outside a church, in the form of Christchurch Cathedral.

Speaking about the new statue, Reverend Dermot Dunne, Dean of Christchurch said that it was a reminder that "as Christians, the heart of the Church is among the poor. It is the Christian Church's concern here in Dublin that the poor and homeless are cared for".
