Described as being like a 'condom for your phone', Drunk Mode stops you from doing some foolish things with your phone when you've had a few scoops.

Joshua Anton, 23, has come up with an app that has been a long time in the making: Drunk Mode. The new app can block you from calling certain contacts, and prevent you from posting to your social media networks for up to 12 hours when you know you're headed out for a tipple. That means there's no more calling your ex at 3am, telling him or her that you've been thinking about what happened and that sure, it was eight years ago but why not give it another try? The house only caught fire that one time anyway, you can't understand why they're still angry about it.

There's even a feature called 'breadcrumbs' that allows you to track that one member of your group who disappears on a night out (we're looking at you, Frank), and you can also recover Snapchats that you've sent the night before, so you can piece together the larger picture of your night out if there are a few select scenes missing from your recollection.

The app is still in beta mode, however, so they've started a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise the money needed to get the app to the stage where they can release it properly. They also have big plans for the future of the app too, which includes setting up features that show you where you can hop a taxi or bus (or an Uber), and a "hype map" that will tell you where the best parties are, including a "girl to guy ratio" at the clubs.
