We all know by this stage that Black Friday is a pretty huge deal in the US, and it's beginning to creep across to our shores as well.

It's the time of year where people lose the plot and buy pretty much anything they can find online, and for 30,000 people, that included an actual box of shit. Nothing else, just bullshit.

The publicity stunt was for the Cards Against Humanity game, who stated that they would be selling the shit to people for $6 a box, and that there was no chance that it was going to be anything other than a box of feces, and that they were doing it as a protest against the crass consumerism of Black Friday.

Still, people bought the boxes in their thousands, hoping and speculating that it might be some stunt intended to go viral and they'd get something really cool inside. The first part has at least come true anyway as it has gone viral with the news that people were disappointed to find that their boxes did actually contain excrement. If you feel like you're up to it, you can watch someone unbox their crap below.

As Twitter user Max Temkin points out however, the box did (in a way) contain something else more intangible than the poop itself.

This merely confirms to us that there are 30,000 idiots out there with more money than sense, and who need to start taking people at their word when they tell them they're getting a shit gift. That number may well increase too, given that people are now selling them on eBay for a lot more than $6. A fool and his money, etc.
