Sweet Jane's origins lie in early 2007. Almost 2 years from recording at their home studio they have become one of Ireland's most exciting new bands. Live they could only be described as a roller coaster of sleazy guitars achingly sexy vocals topped off with their trade mark droned-out rock 'n roll.

I wish that the band (assumedly) would stop trying to get people talking about them by pasting that thing about Kate Moss into every comment box in Ireland. can i just say that i am absolutely mortified at what im reading here. if you don't like a band or music DON'T LEAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS. i think you all forget that these people are human, and have feelings, and these personal attacks are nothing more than jealousy and boredom on your part. Sweet Jane are a fantastic band, and Lydia is an amazing front person who is completely captivating on stage. Have you gone to see other female fronted bands from Ireland? I've seen this band live a couple of times (in truth to see what all the hype was about) and I was sorely disappointed and embarrassed. I've since also had to delete them from my myspace friends due to their bombardment of bulletins, self-gratification and homegrown hype. There's no doubt I gave them a chance (mostly due to the fact that Mainline were a decent band at one point), and they truely weren't worth it. Completely unoriginal, cringe-worthy performances from their female vocalist who seems to think that throwing yourself forcefully around stage with your knickers on show is sultry rock&roll. It's not. Several female friends of mine have commented to me about how embarrassed they have been watching her perform. Down with the frauds and wannabes...hard working class heroes is supposed to be about the real deal...the evidence from both their live performances and this weak track prove..sweet jane are not.Comment published 15/08/2008 18:15:02
