Hard Working Class Heroes 2008

Groom

Ireland's answer to Wilco or the Flaming Lips, GROOM fashion cavernous folk-rock and gorgeous melancholy on a bedsit budget. Treading the space between the indie-smarts of Belle and Sebastian and the brooding of Radiohead, a singalong chorus is always around the corner. Surprising, fresh and rocking.

Billy Gannon says

I listen to Groom all the time, every day. My wife says I'm mad, but I tell her I'm listening to the truth. Then she tells me I'm deaf. But I don't respond because I can't hear her.Comment published 11/08/2008 13:12:17

DJ Sir Thomas Dunning says

I think Groom are light years ahead of most bands in terms of musicality and song writing. I just heard that their guitarist has 'been invited' to play The Hideout in Chicago which is deadly cuz that don't happen everyday around these parts! That picture is kinda hot too.Comment published 08/08/2008 01:07:18
