Hard Working Class Heroes 2008

Autamata

Since its beginnings in 2002 Autamata has defied being pigeon-holed. Sometimes labeled electronica, sometimes rock, sometimes acoustic. Whatever the tag, this outfit has produced some of the most innovative and coolest music of recent times. New album, “Colours of Sound” is an up-beat, kaleidoscopic collection of tracks with contributions from Carol Keogh and Cathy Davey.

In the studio its just ken with some guest vocalists, currently Cathy Davey and Carol Keogh.Live it turns into more of a collective with ken (on synths/guitar/vocals) joined by a drummer/lead guitarist/bassist and voacals by Carol keogh. That makes a five piece live band. The current live shows are a very upbeat electro rock affair with the band playing nearly all the faster tracks from the three albums.Bangin mate!Comment published 21/08/2008 14:14:07
