After months of rumours and leaks, it looks like the Nintendo Switch is finally getting a Pokemon GO-compatible game and just in time for Christmas.

The announcement trailer for Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu! and Let's Go Eevee! showcases pretty much all the rumoured features, including syncing with Pokemon Go, a PokeBall controller, the ability to send gifts from Pokemon Go to Let's Go, and a bit more beyond that. The general understanding is that the two games - Pokemon Go and Let's Go - will connect via Bluetooth and your starter Pokemon - Eevee or Pikachu - will be with you the whole time and not go into the Pokeball.

If that sounds a bit like Pokemon Yellow, you're not wrong - the game director, Junichi Masuda, told Gamespot that the game is heavily inspired by Yellow and will be set in the Kanto region. On top of that, Masuda also confirmed that the first 150 Pokemon will be available in the game as well as their Alolan versions from Sun and Moon.

Beyond that, all will be revealed on November 16th, 2018 when the game is released. Here's the trailer.
