Watch: 'Injustice 2' gets a moody new trailer
It's been over six months since the announcement trailer for Injustice 2 debuted online so to keep it fresh in our minds, Warner Bros. Interactive have released a new trailer.
Fans of 2013's original will remember that the superhero brawl fest saw Superman as the villain after he accidentally kills Lois Lane and then the Joker after the latter sets off a nuclear bomb over Metropolis. The last son of Krypton then set up a new world order while serving as the supreme leader, dedicated to stamping out crime. As with most regimes of this kind, this lead to the abuse of power. Something DC's other heroes couldn't abide by.
A new synopsis that's been released with the trailer gives us a hint as to where the story picks up after the events of the first game.
Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.
Injustice 2 is expected to arrive on May 16th 2017.
