We're assuming you're reading this because you like South Park, and are planning on buying this South Park related game. Otherwise, we should probably tell you to head elsewhere, because if you don't like South Park, then this is most definitely NOT the game for you, and also, we probably can't be friends. Still here? Great! Let's be friends!

You start off in the snowy town as the mysterious New Kid, and once you've customized him to look however you might want, you venture off and become a member of one of two factions: Cartman's Humans or Kyle's Elves. These two groups are at war with each other over the legendary Stick Of Truth, and you sent out on missions and must wage into many battles in the name of said Stick and your chosen faction.

First of all, in placing the South Park universe into an RPG game, Trey Parker and Matt Stone - who provided all of the voices in the game, as well as writing the script - have created what is potentially the funniest video game ever made. With so many fantastic scenes, hidden references and favorite characters to be found across the perfectly realised town, at times it feels less like you're playing a game, and more like you're watching an interactive season long episode.

The gameplay element, although well implemented, is not perfect. While the inventory system is thoughtfully structured, and the amount to see and do for a South Park completest should round out at about 15 hours, things take a slight dip during the battles. While still funny, and again, faithfully representing both the South Park universe and RPG turn-based fight systems, they can get a little samey (which is thankfully helped some when you can use new warriors) and arrive so often that they tend to break up the flow of the fun you've been having.

Still though, this is by no means a deal-breaker, as the wealth of comedic gold to mine in this game is simply staggering. An absolute must-buy for any fans of South Park.
