Between the Robert Downey Jnr movie series, the Benedict Cumberbatch starring British show, and the Johnny Lee Miller US show, not to mention the upcoming Ian McKellan starring adaptation featuring a much older version of the famous sleuth, there's no other way to put this: Sherlock Holmes is so hot right now.

Never being a medium to miss a step, there's a game based on the character coming out soon - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments

Set back in 19th Century London, and vaguely based on Dostoyevsky's novel Crime And Punishment, you'll play as Holmes, investigating several different crime scenes, examining clues, looking for evidence, and coming to your own conclusions. But will they be the right ones? Cos if they're not, then prepare to fail, or worse still, get drawn into a nasty fist-fight!

Thankfully, with the help of the game's "Sherlock Vision", and with every case having between three and five ways of being solved, as well as there being between six and ten different endings to each case, there's huge room for this game to have massive replayability. Not to mention the fact that you get to play as Sherlock Holmes, which is kinda up there with playing as Batman or James Bond.

Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments doesn't have an exact release date just yet - tentatively dated as "Early 2014" - but once it is released, it'll be available on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, XBox 360 and PC.
