There are quite a few games coming out on Microsoft's new console that should get the pulse racing with anticipation, and right near the top of that list would have to be "Ryse: Son Of Rome". Not only is the game set in a time-period we've seen quite a bit of in cinema (Gladiator) and TV (Spartacus), but oddly not much of in video-games, but from the stuff we've seen so far, it looks like it's going to be a gloriously, beautifully violent time for anyone playing!

You play as Marius, who is gifted a dagger by his father which bares the emblem of Damocles, who was betrayed by his Roman generals on the battlefield, and returned from the Underworld to exact his revenge. Soon after, Marius' entire father is slain by a group of barbarians, and Marius finds himself on a similar path of vengeance as Damocles had years earlier.

As you can see from the trailer, the visuals looks absolutely incredible, calling to mind the OTT violence of the hit movie 300, which can only be a good thing. This X-Box One exclusive will be available from November 22nd, and check back in with entertainment.ie soon for more details and a full review
