Hmm! Well, ahem! Lara Croft, let's face it, long before she was ruining Angelina Jolie's career she was whetting nerdy fantasies across the world. Well, now she is back and looking better then ever, and to be honest that's part of the problem. Lara spends most of the game dress in her skimpy short shorts and painted on tank top. It's painfully obvious that this game is aimed directly at the lads.

That aside, the creators have promised a more robust (hehe) game here with simplified controls and more playability, but to be honest all of the old problems with the series come back to haunt, and early on too.

The control setup is pure muck. You will accidentally throw grandees and blow yourself up. You will grind you teeth in frustration as the camera frantically and without and provocation wheels around you like a drunk at a wedding. You will cry genuine tears as the Tomb Raider ignores your simple request to "jump up" and instead "jumps out" into thin air, only for you to start the mundane process all over again.

Unfortunately, this is yet again a pretty box with nothing much of interest inside.
