The Adventures of Tin Tin made for some enjoyable gameplay but, honestly, it was frustrating at times. The game is based on the movie, so we're following Tin Tin's adventure as he tries to find the secret of the unicorn. The game is primarily designed for children and all of the levels are 2D, featuring puzzles as you try and get through to the next phase. These puzzles are fun and see the lead character climbing, swinging along monkey bars, and throwing balls at things. Checkpoints are well placed and if you "die", which is really Tin Tin just getting dazed with stars around his head, you are put right back to the last checkpoint with little delay, which is good.

The levels also feature a lot of combat scenes as you use a one button melee system to take out your enemies. Said enemies never die, just fall in a daze surrounded by birds, which is very kid friendly. The fighting can be really enjoyable as you hide from your foe and strike from behind. The levels include ships, houses and secret caves.

I found the controls quite flimsy at times and during the 3D parts of the game you can't move the camera angle, and this can make it difficult to navigate through some of the levels. The game, while frustrating at times, was still enjoyable and never difficult; the levels are nicely sign posted so you know where to go, which is great for the younger audience playing the game.

Aside from the normal 2D levels, there are a series of 3D mini games which involve flying planes or fighting pirates as Haddock's ancestor. These mini games are unsatisfying as the controls are rather restrictive.

Over all the Adventures of Tin Tin was fun but unfortunately bothersome at times; the fact you're unable to skip the intermediary "cut scenes" drove me crazy as some were very long. The levels are fun but repetitive, however, it is a good game for its target audience and I'm sure kids will enjoy the comic fighting scenes and puzzles.
