Covering the first four films from the spellbinding franchise, Lego Harry Potter follows the likes of Indiana Jones, Star Wars and Batman in getting the plastic-cubed makeover. Those familiar with the Lego games from the past will feel right at home here. There's endless collecting, character unlocking (nearly 160 in total), and action doused with just the right amount of humour; which is the pivotal trait of the Lego series: it doesn't take itself too seriously and because of this most gamers will forgive any technical misgivings (AI being one) and just enjoy what is a fun adventure most ages will get something from.

Thankfully , Lego Harry Potter also includes several neat innovative features unseen in previous titles, mainly thanks to franchise this particular Lego title is based on. There are powers to possess, spells to inflict, and even the ability to levitate blocks of the Lego world itself to build your own path through this coloured-blocked world.

All the familiar locations are colourfully recreated, Hogwarts naturally the pic of the bunch. Add Co-op and a level creator to the mix and you have a title fanatics will play for many months to come and casual gamers will get a lot from.
