Seventies exploitation films are balls. Homage's to seventies exploitation films are also balls - Messrs Tarantino and Rodrigez's poorly executed Deathproof/Planet Terror fiasco being a prime example. However, Ladies and Gentleman, Grindhouse has found a whole new House!

House of the Dead Overkill has adopted the tongue in cheek exploitation style, along with its overexposed reels, shaky camera angles and a Burt Reynolds look-a-like as the villain. Each level is divided into its own ridiculously named movie, along with over the top narration and an overly long fake trailer. There are enough power ups, weapons and items to collect that will keep most fans replaying the levels for months to come. Once you complete the storymode the "Directors Cut" becomes available; more zombies equal more carnage!

If you were a fan of Planet Terror, you will adore this game and, even if you thought it was muck, I reckon you are still going to get a kick out of this. Probably the most fun I have had on the Wii.
