This summer's West Cork Chamber Music Festival will be a celebration of the enormous power and diversity of European culture. Generously supported by the Culture programme of the European Union, the Arts Council of Ireland and Failte Ireland, the Festival features the finest of music from Europe and beyond. With Ireland holding the EU Presidency for the first half of the year, the Festival programme includes music from Romania and Poland in the East, Spain and Ireland in the West, Italy and Hungary in the South and Estonia and Britain in the North as well as music from the United States, Australia, Turkey and Russia. The Festival is renowned for its imaginative programming and once again, every taste will be catered for with an exciting selection of works from the 18th to the 21st centuries.

Running from Friday 28 June to Saturday 6 July, the festival's intimate concerts will take place in the library of Bantry House, the 18th century stately home which overlooks historic Bantry Bay, and St Brendan's Church. The sixty five events will bring together over a hundred musicians to play over one hundred works from more than fifty composers.
