We've all been in this situation before. You spend a whole year trying to decide between taking a trip to Munich for Oktoberfest, and booking off a weekend to travel the country for a serious session at the fleadh. Trad session this is. Well the decision has been taken out of your hands now, because Athy have married the two events.

Putting an Irish twist on a German tradition, the Harvest Fleadh will be a celebration of the best of both festivals; combining beer, live music, and atmosphere to make an unmissable event on the 26th October in the Clanard Court Hotel, Athy, Co.Kildare.

Leading the musical charge is one of Athy’s homegrown stars, Jack L, who has proven on many occasions that he is a force to be reckoned with and one hell of a performer. Recently off his tour, The 27 Club, Jack L returns to Athy to add his spin to Irish rock classics and keep the festivities going long into the night.

But it doesn't end there. Dubbed “the finest U2 tribute band on the planet” by Hotpress, Rattle and Hum joins the line-up to add the iconic songs of Irish rock legends, U2 – a must at any Irish music festival. And of course, no Fleadh is complete without a healthy dose of Irish trad music, and there’s no better bill than local trad band, Hillbilly Porter, who have developed a cult following at the last two Harvest Fleadh’s!

To celebrate the end result of the Summer’s harvest and the growing cult following of the ‘new’ Irish brew, the Oktoberfest will feature a dedicated Irish Craft Beer bar showcasing the best brews from Carlow Brewing Company, yeah, the guys and galls who bring you O'Hara's and the like.

Tickets are €25 each with a special early-bird offer of 2 tickets for €40. Visit www.harvestfleadh.com.
