It's well known that the August Bank Holiday weekend is always jam-packed with activities and events, and it's often quite difficult to decide what to do. Well, if you're knocking about Dublin and happen to be near Wolfe Tone Square, here's our suggestion; drop by for the third annual Urban Fleadh.

The two day festival of Irish Traditional Music (with a world mix) is taking place on August 2nd and 3rd and will feature two whole days of Irish Trad Fusion with musicians from home and abroad.

A highlight for this year is The Bodhran Buzz - an exciting musical project set up by bodhran player Robbie Walsh. Aimed at anyone with an interest in Irish rhythm, the Bodhran Buzz is a fun way for people of all ages to learn about the musical tradition in a positive and relaxed atmosphere.

Another special element to the festival is the Call to Dance and of course there will be Sean Nós dancing and singing as well as classical, funk, folk and jazz music mixes.

For a unique take on Irish music and dance and the guarantee of genuine craic, don't miss An Urban Fleadh 2014.
