It's always tough getting through January so, when the month finally comes to an end, you need a reason to get out and celebrate.

Dublin Racing Festival is a brand new festival will take place in Leopardstown over the first weekend of February. It aims to celebrate Dublin’s richness and diversity across horse racing, culture, comedy, music and food in a two-day programme.

In addition to top class horse racing action, there will be live music, comedy and Ireland's opening 6 Nations game on a big screen. On Saturday there will be DJ sets from Vogue Williams, live match analysis from a team of rugby pundits and a post racing gig from Damien Dempsey. Sunday will see Stockton's Wing lead a contemporary trad session and sets from Dublin Beats DJ.

A host of Irish comedians will also be performing over the course of the weekend, including Fred Cooke, Eric Lalor and Joanne McNally.

Tickets from €30 are available from www.leopardstown.com. The early bird ticket offers on January 31st, so make sure to book soon.
