Friends Of Ted Festival
The inaugural Friends of Ted Weekend takes place in Inis Mor, Galway, running from the 23rd to 25th February. As the title of the festival suggests, Friends of Ted is a special festival to celebrate the highly successful TV series and is on the weekend closest to the anniversary of Dermot Morgan's passing. With a set of events set to make you cry laughing, including Father Dougal's Breakfast movie charades, Buckeroo Speed Dating, Hide a Nun and Seek, A Song For Europe (Inis Mor's 2007 entry), Father Jack hunt and the Lovely Girls Contest, the weekend will bring you into the deepest depths of the madness that is Father Ted. Friends of Ted is a not for profit organisation and aims to raise money for good and appropriate causes, while demonstrating that there is no finer place in all the world to be at the end of February than off the west coast of Ireland.
