Knockanstockan 2012

Knockanstockan is a 3-day, open air, Independent Music and Arts Festival held annually beside the Blessington lakes in Lacken Co. Wicklow. Taking place from the 27th to 29th of July, Knockanstockan delivers a diverse musical programme showcasing 150 Irish Acts over the three days with a state of the art production level that has a high industry standard.

The overall programme of events is devised and delivered by a collaboration of musicians, artists, community members and over 250 volunteers. This festival is a non-profit and the crew all work voluntarily. The festival re-invests net profit directly to where it will be best served.

The genres include rock; folk; traditional Irish; world music; spoken word; rap; soul; jazz; contemporary; classical; dance and much more. Added to this Knockanstockan created the ‘Art Trail’, which is comprised of site specific Art Installations and Performances.
