Darklight is Ireland's premiere festival celebrating independent DIY animation, VFX and artist film. This year entertainment.ie are proud to be ticketing partner with Darklight Festival, which for 2012 takes on the exciting theme of 'Grassroots'. Thirteen years since its inception, this year the festival will be looking at all aspects of grassroots filmmaking, be it crowd funding, production, distribution or alternative screening spaces. There will be a particular focus this year on new and emerging Indie filmmaking talents.
At this year's Darklight - LoFi vs HiFi >> Game On! We take a look at creative collaboration and the symbiotic relationships that exist between directors and cinematographers, musicians, animators, VFX supervisors and developers. Screenings and talks range from; horror film Grabbers, to a Terence Davies season, a masterclass with Seamus McGarvey, a focus on Irish animation, plus we delve into the world of indie games.
