Sunday the 5th August signals the start of the much-loved annual Clonmany Festival, now in its 45th year. Once again this family event is a week of summer fun for all ages. This is Ireland's longest running and best known family festival and is situated in the beautiful village of Clonmany.

Clonmany Festival is a family festival which is held in Clonmany Co.Donegal. There is a packed programme of family events each day and open air music on the street each night with Ireland's top bands. Over the eight days there will be 11 top bands performing live in the centre of town.

Year after year thousands of holiday makers and locals alike enjoy the many events, live music, natural beauty and facilities which go hand in hand with the festival. From raft races and cycling events to treasure hunts and talent competitions, the festival has something to offer everyone and is an event which you will find yourself returning to again and again.

The Clonmany Festival to date has been in existence for 45 successful years, an annual event that has become entwined in local traditions and culture. The festival is somewhat unique in that it has always catered for the entire family, with something to offer for all age groups and a wide variety of tastes. The First Festival was an emigrants’ Festival. Much of the spirit was due to the generosity of people at home with their time and talent to welcome back the emigrants from England, Scotland and America. This spirit still flourishes to this day, however the emigrants now return from all corners of the globe not just England, Scotland and America.
